magus:
Good Ones:
Ain’t put right?   ISNT [never knew why ain’t needs an apostrophe when it’s substandard to begin with  ;)]
Tune two croon   DUET
Breachfront property?   SAND
Shakers, but not movers   SECT
Theme: Snakes in phrases
Snake in the glass?   WINDSHIELDVIPER
Run-of-the-mill snake?   ASPPERUSUAL
Warning from {theme} critters   SSS [well some of them]

Some Nits to Pick:
Everything, informally   BALLOFWAX [I think clue needs “whole” to suggest “everything.”]

RATING:   ;D ;D ;D Three grins = Loved it; Two grins = Enjoyed it; One grin = A bit bland for my taste; One teardrop = Not much fun

rbe:
Another nit to pick: The two parts of a dovetail joint are pins and tails.

...but I think tenon is correct in that it is defined as a protruding part of a joint, the mortise being the groove.

redanman:
Being a carpenter's son tenon was a super word to include mortise/tenon joint  is "most correct"

I found this puzzle easier than usual to crack the theme for a Sunday which made it an overall easy solve for me an "upper middle" puzzler, I suppose.  Overall I think the LAT puzzles are day-to-day more enjoyable than the other Times puzzle because they are better clued.  Speaking of joints: Anatomic references that are "just in the area" drive me nuts.  :)
