Possible Title: Silken Saturday

Good Ones:
Turner of records   TINA [not a DJ]
Period in a sonnet   EEN [not punctuation]
Sudanese leader?   ESS [question mark is critical]
Welcome site   MAT [site = location]
Jacuzzi setting   SPA [setting = location]
Castle seen in “The Whirl of Life”   IRENE
Apple core, briefly   CPU [central processing unit of an Apple computer]
Getaway that gives you a lift   SKIRESORT

By the Way:
Fifty-five years ago I learned what an AXOLOTL was from, of all places, Mad magazine.  I have no idea why I remember that or if I ever have seen the word since, but like the Mad editors I like the way it looks and sounds.

Who knew?:
I always thought Alexander the V’s death was 1409.  And who exactly again is Alexander the V?

Some Nits to Pick:
ESTOS

RATING:   ;D ;D ;D Three grins = Loved it; Two grins = Enjoyed it; One grin = A bit bland for my taste; One teardrop = Not much fun
