Got into a stew?   ATE
Theme: Countries the first three letters of which are repeated to create a phrase
South American fellow?   GUYANAGUY

 8) It will be a long time before we see a grid with three J’s and eight Z’s --- with seven of the eleven in the first four rows.

:-\ Internet ERA is new to me, but no doubt that’s what we’re in.

::) Let's face it, SAL Mineo was a minor actor of the 1950’s probably more famous as Xword fodder than his two Oscar nominations.  (One was for support of Paul Newman in Exodus, a lousy movie with a great theme song; the other was supporting James Dean.)  Can constructors come up with a different Sal --- and not “My Gal Sal” which is even more ancient.  That would require, of course, they use their SOBAs.

RATING:   ;D ;D Three grins = Loved it; Two grins = Enjoyed it; One grin = A bit bland for my taste; One teardrop = No fun
