How to Write Good
« on: November 19, 2008, 06:08:06 PM »
All the "pet peeves" being reported on the main list made me think of this.  It was online at another forum.  It's an old list that someone has updated.  (Does anyone know who?)

How to Write Good

Always avoid alliteration.
Prepositions are not words to end sentences with.
Avoid cliches like the plague

Also try not to write is passive tense.  As an example:  The show was performed by the actors.  Instead say:  The actors performed the show.
