Not even sure who or what i'm "replying" to, since i'm not conversant w/posting stuff.  but, suffice it to say, a HUGE THANK YOU to (Filer i think) whoever posted that terrific link to the la times puz's.  i had thought they were just not being offered any more, til i went to the link.  u can even get the puzzles a day ahead (at least this is true of the saturday ones).

THANK YOU to whoever posted this!  there are 2 kinds of people in the world - ones like u who like to help others, and a**holes who don't, IMO.

The regular LAT CW feed was restored just as I finished learning how to make a .puz with a rebus (the 16 circled cells in today's puzzle).  8)

In case anyone is curious, here's the file.  Note the 16 lower case letters in the grid plus the extra markup in the two lines right under it.

BTW, this works on my Mac version of Across Lite; I haven't tested it on the Windows or iOS versions.

cbrockman:
I copied the Past Due puzzle of August 13, 2017 just posted by trauer1282 to a text editor. Then I saved it as a .txt file. When I try to open the text file in AcrossLite in the text mode, I receive this error:
End of file reached before complete description.
Is there anything else I can do or is the posting missing some part?

trauer1282:
So sorry... fat fingered the cut part before pasting.  Try again with the updated post!
