THEME:   two-word phrases with CC's connecting them

GOOD ONES:
Duplicates…{& theme}   CC'S
Chopper  AXE [makes a lot of sense; less sense is chopper as helicopter --- unless it's taken from the sound of the rotars]
Help in many a search   GOOGLE [I thought dogs, etc.]
Reply to Bligh   AYE [I still like rhymes]

BTW:
DRAMATIC CHOPS is too far afield for me --- unless the clue were "Breaded pork stuffed with mozzarella and smothered in Masalla."

RATING: ;D
Three grins = Loved it; Two grins = Enjoyed it; One grin = A bit bland for my taste; One teardrop = Not much fun

CC originally meant "carbon copy." With so much mail being sent via computer instead of through the United States mail, the initials are now often interpreted as standing for "courtesy copy." Do any businesses still use carbon paper? Many long-outdated expressions persist in our language. We still say we dial a telephone number even though we're pushing buttons, not dialing. Most people still call movie previews "trailers" even though it has been four decades since the previews were shown after (i.e., trailing) the feature film.

The Universal crossword includes ACHRISTMASCAROL, ABUNDLEOFNERVES and ADROPINTHEOCEAN. The puzzle has no word which offers a hint to those phrases.....but may I suggest "Triple-A"?
