I don't believe I ever saw or heard "would I LET you down," but in any event it is not a familiar expression.  Would "go to the" be an acceptable answer to the clue "let's ___ store"?

You are so right. My father was a dentist and I have never heard of DMD. DDS and ADA, but no DMD.

My dentist uses "DMD, INC." after his name.
Not only is NENES (babies) Spanish, but I don't think "tots" is a good clue. I had NINOS (children) at first.
