THEME:   reversal of words comprised of two words

GOOD ONES:
REDBEEAT, TEAROSE, MILKCHOCOLATE, MAPLESUGUR

BTW:
Flippered fish eaters   SEALS [English has a problem when certain nouns can be one or two words, either of which can be modified by the same adjective.  To fix this one: "Flippered eaters of fish" or "Eaters of flippered fish."]

The theme was so clever that it compensates for the pedestrian cluing.

RATING:    ;D ;D
Three grins = Loved it; Two grins = Enjoyed it; One grin = A bit bland for my taste; One teardrop = Not much fun
