EFG x 15

Arranging a grid with a row of 15 of the same letter cannot be easy; doing three like rows seems Herculean.  As a solver, I get for sure the troop of F’s [F Troop] and the string of G’s [g-string], and I assume it’s a file of E’s [E-file].  That makes three clever clues in this otherwise undistinguished puzzle which was far more challenging to construct than fun to solve.

Three grins = Excellent: Loved it; Two grins = Good: Enjoyed it; One grin = Satisfactory: A bit bland for my taste; One teardrop = Unsatisfying: No fun
