Title: how to clue WAE ??

any ideas on this one? Best I can come up with is:

"Jewish Cntr. for the developmentally disabled"

Too obscure? The WAE center in New Jersey is known regionally, but I doubt a significant number if people have heard of it. Tried to find famous initials, but no luck there.

I do have WAE crossed by three very solid, fairly easy clues. Would an editor poo-poo it?

No, brittlestar, an editor wouldn't poo-poo it. They would flat out hate it! You're going to have to drop it along with the 7 letter partial.
