Hi David.  Long time puzzler here....just joined cruciverb...........some time ago the Toronto Sun stopped publishing the LA Times SYNDICATE puzzles (including the big one on Sunday).  I have been told that this is not the puzzle that appeared in the LA Times paper.  I miss this puzzle immensely.....does it still publish? Was it different than the LA Times paper? HELPPPPPPPPPP!

If you look at the Crciverb home page, upmost right side, you'll find the information you're looking for.  There is also a link you can follow.  As for the other question, I believe the Sun puzzles were in fact different from the LAT's.  By the way, the LAT's are available free from a link on the same home page.  Hope this helps.
