Title: Mistake in a submission
Post by: jhutchis on November 16, 2011, 11:03:16 PM
Hello All,
I'm an aspiring constructor. I sent in a submission to the NYT a few days ago and just realized that it contains an error. A pretty big one...I thought that I had "halitosis" as an answer and clued it as such. Turns out I had "haliotis" which turns out to be a word, but quite an obscure one. Of course the clue now makes no sense. Should I redo the entire NE corner and resubmit? Can I retract a submission? Being new to construction I have no idea how to proceed so any advice would be much appreciated!

Cheers,
Jaime

My advise is to redo the corner and resubmit the puzzle... with a brief cover note too.
