I wonder if the barely watchable Dead on Arrival is the most cited film in Xword history [DOA].

I think ELYSEE means school; if it does, what has it to do with Bastille Day?  If not, what does it have to do with Bastille Day?  ???

WHIZBANG means a person who is super (noun); I don't recall having seen or heard it meaning super (adjective).

"Time for a revolution?" for YEAR is very clever, and tough.  It took me awhile to understand that time refers to how long it takes for the Earth to revolve around the sun: a year.  :)

My French is limited, but LYCEE is "school". "ELYSEE" refers to the Avenue des Champs-

A term in the context may be passive to what they use..a ability for that term..
