Title: LAT Wed. 4/8 Patrick Jordan
Post by: magus on April 08, 2009, 02:27:01 PM
I liked the idea of using state nicknames and reading them non-geograpically.  "Empire state" was SUPREMECY and the "Show me state" was SKEPTICISM.  WILLINGNESS, DILIGENCE, and DURABILITY were the others.

GOOD ONES!

"Netizen, e.g."    USER [never heard the expression before: sounds AOL-ish.]
"They're abuzz with activity"    APARIES
 :)

Yes, I particularly liked the form of the themed answers as well; I like the LAT puzzles a lot with their wide variety of cultural references.
