Title: LAT Tue. 3/17 Don Gagliardo
Post by: magus on March 17, 2009, 02:32:31 PM
GOOD ONES   GOOD ONES   GOOD ONES

"Sharp, like wit"    ACID
"Stretch at the prom?"   LIMO
"Morgen's opposite"   NACHT

I recall when McDonald's became a chain, but I never knew SPEEDEE.
Wonder if Don is or was an English teacher given his USAGE clue.
It must be comforting for Cubs fans to know that OHARE is WNW of the "friendly confines."
Edmond O'Brien was in other movies besides D.O.A., but not in Xwords.  :)

I filled in GRIMACE for the McDonalds clue the first time through -- I knew as I did it that either I was way off, or I had found a constructor who shared my opinion of Golden Arches food....
