GOOD ONES     GOOD ONES     GOOD ONES

"Bad-mouth an Aretha Franklin classic?"  DISRESPECT
"Rap a Rolling Stones favorite?"   DISSATISFACTION
"Work for Money, maybe"   EDIT

The clue for RENES was "Descartes and Russo," but when I made Xwords, B.C., my editors insisted that the two names had to be related in some way, not disparate as a philosopher and an actress.  I thought there was a bit of humor in the incongruous.

Irrelevant question:  Why is combo (as in jazz) not combi?    ???
