Title: LAT Sat. 10/6 Peter A. Collins
Post by: magus on October 06, 2012, 09:58:31 AM
Possible Title: Saturday 28

Good Ones:
Reviewers of plays   ANNOUNCERS
Word comprising 60% of itself   ESSES
One who won’t take a shot?   TEETOTALER
What hikers wear?   PATHS
Pitcher’s goal?   SALE

By the Way:
Why am I repelled by ITT and other references to dumb TV shows?

Who knew?:
Attention KMART shoppers: we’re not in Alaska.

Some Nits to Pick:
Infinitive with a circumflex   ETRE [in English it’s used only in crosswords, but without the circumflex, solvers who otherwise would know "to be" in some French connection (no pun intended) might not know that]  :)

RATING:  ;D ;D Three grins = Loved it; Two grins = Enjoyed it; One grin = A bit bland for my taste; One teardrop = Not much fun

Teetotaler?  I think not.   Teatotaler---one whose liquid consumption is limited to tea, i.e.  not liquor.

I don't think teatotaler is a word, though maybe it should be.  Probably some newspaper editor spelled it with two e's and it stuck.
