Possible Title: Location, Location, Location

Theme: Place names are clued by their location, in the grid.

Good Ones:
Cairo’s location?   FIFTYACROSS and
“Aida’s” setting   [at 50-Across] EGYPT
[and three other like combinations]
Short mystery writer   ANON [I’m a “short” mystery writer also and virtually anonymous]
Breakfast in a bar   GRANOLA
What makes an amp damp?   DEE

By the Way:
Filmmaker Russ   MEYER [I’d have gone with a more deserving Meyer: Nicholas.  But the reference did give me a chuckle.]

Some Nits to Pick:
Reunion attendee   ONCLE [this writing program does not provide l’accent aigu, so that tells you there’s something wrong with using French.  Anyway, I’d go with Mon Oncle which is at least in our film lexicon.]

RATING:   ;D ;D ;D Three grins = Loved it; Two grins = Enjoyed it; One grin = A bit bland for my taste; One teardrop = Not much fun
