Possible Title: Hard Food & Hardware
Theme: first word of phrase can be the first part of a type of nut
Good Ones:
Screwball {and theme} SOMEKINDOFANUT
It’s blown in the winds OBOE [so’s “the answer”]
In the wrong business? NOSY
By the Way:
One on the range PAN [Thursday morning quarterbacking: “range denizen” might be a better clue since the solver is not by “One” fooled into thinking it is a cowboy; denizen may do that. Of course, denizen denotes people or animals, not kitchenware.]
Who knew?:
Beurre NOISETTE is hazelnut butter. Problem is I'm not a gourmet, but neither were most of us from the city projects. BTW, gourmand can mean glutton or gourmet, depending on context.
Some Nits to Pick:
Recorded for posterity ONFILE [posterity is generational; most of what’s on file is purged well before generations change]
Got your back CANDO [--- too far afield. One idiom suggests protection, the other ability]
RATING: ;D ;D Three grins = Loved it; Two grins = Enjoyed it; One grin = A bit bland for my taste; One teardrop = Not much fun
