Title: Duplicated string of letters
Post by: wmc on November 29, 2020, 03:48:59 PM
I'm working on a puzzle where I ended up with IAGO and AGOG crossing one another as follows:

   A
IAGO
   O
   G

Would editors frown on the repeated AGO string of letters (particularly since they cross), even though the string is not interpreted as the word AGO in either case?  Thanks!

No. There is no objection to repeating strings of letters if the words are not related. It doesn't matter if they're crossing.

BUT, if you don't like the way it looks, by all means see if you can find alternate fill for that spot.
