Title: Published grids

Is it acceptable to use a published grid--just the grid, not the theme, not the fill words--
Obviously those of us who use Crossword Compiler (or other programs) will get a previously-used and /or published grid from time to time, but what about selecting one that has been published?

It's perfectly acceptable and gets done all the time.
