Title: url address as theme entry
Post by: Raymond Hansen on November 21, 2019, 11:13:32 PM
Hello,

I was working on a theme and was going to use "wwwgmailcom" as one of the theme words.  Before going ahead and filling the grid around the theme entries, not sure "wwwgmailcom" is good, given the implied "dots" in the entry.  Any feedback?

I agree it's iffy because if spoken you'd put the "dots" in there. Additionally, if you request that URL with the dots properly inserted, it flips you over to https://mail.google.com/ . . . so I don't think it works. I'm struggling to figure out how this would fit in a theme . . . if you'd be willing to send me a private message with your theme set, perhaps I could make a suggestion that might work better (?). If you prefer you can use this URL to send me a message: https://crosswordsbymark.wordpress.com/contact/

Thanks for the feedback Mark! Yeah, you confirmed my doubts about the word as a valid entry. I'll see if I can get something else to fit, if not, I'll either scratch it or send you my theme idea for feedback. That is very generous of you to offer.

Thanks again!
