I remember, earlier this decade, I read something about the Newspaper Enterprise Association no longer releasing crossword puzzles to newspapers. Is this true? And if so, why was this the case?
The 13 X 14 grids were so unique, and my local newspaper published them until the start of the 1980s. That series was what got me interested in crossword grids during the latter half of the 1970s when I was in kindergarten, and I was never a fan of crossword puzzle series that had the same grids go through a limited cycle, usually a four-week cycle, unless it was a time when newer grids debuted.
