Title: Yearly Crossword Conference suggestion
Post by: brasarehot on March 30, 2014, 01:50:54 AM
For crossword fans that don't enjoy ACPT competition, I think an annual workshop crossword conference could be a fun thing to attend where prolific constructors could teach people how they go about creating a puzzle, tricks to the trade, describing the submission and waiting process, showing new constructions various construction software programs, how to tackle filling out large empty grid areas when constructing your own themeless puzzle, etc.

If anyone is interested I would love to make this a reality. In addition, the conference would be free. Anyone would be welcome.

Please let me know. Thanks!

I think that's a great idea!

Additionally, along the same lines, schools should start adopting "Crosswords 101" as part of their elective or standard curriculum, as crosswords are an amazing educational and fun tool.

It would be nice to see your idea come into fruition.
