Title: Thu., 1/9 Peter A. Collins
Post by: magus on January 09, 2014, 08:52:15 AM
THEME:   8 words at the grid's four corners are synonymous with CUT

GOOD ONES:
{theme across center of grid}   CUTTING + CORNERS
One might make a setter better   VET
It might wind up in the yard   HOSE [unless it's my wife's, then it's just left unwound --- hate that woman!]

BTW:
100 sawbucks   ONE G [so film noire!  It's a dime.]

This puzzle seems the archetype in that the grid itself forms the symmetrical theme and the theme answer is dead center.

RATING:    ;D ;D ;D
Three grins = Loved it; Two grins = Enjoyed it; One grin = A bit bland for my taste; One teardrop = Not much fun
