THEME: letter T added to phrases (so they are "Invitees" as the title suggests)
GOOD ONES:
Heavenly ruler? STPETERSTSQUARE [in a way, both St. Peter and a t-square are rulers]
Contraption that gives skiers a lift in more ways than one? COFFEETBAR [coffee bar and t-bar offer lifts]
Object in court RES [the noun, not the verb]
Barely ran? STREAKED [along with BOOMBOX, two crazes that have mercifully vanished]
BTW:
Spring title on a beefcake calendar MRMAY [baseball fans know Dave Winfield as Mr. May, and it was no compliment]
I'm sure it's an acceptable abbreviation, but MGT is mgmt in my book.
RATING: ;D ;D
Three grins = Loved it; Two grins = Enjoyed it; One grin = A bit bland for my taste; One teardrop = Not much fun
