Title: Word length limit in partial title
Post by: cranberry44 on October 23, 2019, 12:12:18 PM
I know that one can use only 5 letters in a partial phrase. Is this also true of a title? I would like to use
"icross" (I Cross") as the entry. Clue: "George Strait hit "___ My Heart."

Same general rule applies here. Also, editors generally like partials to be part of a very familiar phrase, so I wouldn't bet on a country song title from the early 90's meeting that test.

Thanks, Mark. I'll try something else.
