Title: Best theme entries?
Post by: Raymond Hansen on January 18, 2021, 07:07:14 PM
Hello all,

I have a theme idea: "TWO BY FOURS," wherein the theme entries are phrases that have a two-letter word "by" four-letter words. The two variations would either be the two-letter word followed by the four-letter words (e.g., NO MANS LAND, AT LONG LAST, IN YOUR FACE...). Or I could put the two-letter word between the four letter words (HALL OF FAME, GIVE OR TAKE, CASH IN HAND...).

Does anyone have an opinion which one of the configurations would work best for the theme TWO BY FOURS?

Thanks for any feedback!

I like the 2 4 4 better, I think because there are probably fewer of them. This would make a nice 21x grid with 10 theme entries. It would really be cool if you could come up with a set that has some common thread.

This is a clever idea! I like the 2-4-4 also. Good luck with it!

Thank you for the feedback. I'll go with the 2 4 4. The only challenge for a 21 grid would be finding 10 different 2-letter words that start phrases that are still interesting.

Take care!
