New TV Season
:)
Mobile one of song DONNA [I think she was less mobile than Sue]
Slaughter on a diamond ENOS
Theme: Slightly misspelled TV shows
SALEOFTHESENTRY
QUEENFORADEY [is a dey the same as a bey, I wonder]
NAMETHATTOON
TWOTELLTHETRUTH
DONNA, ARLO, and “Witchraft’s” HITHER make for a nice pop music trio.
Apt juxtaposition: WHAT and LOU [Abbot and Costello’s “Who’s on First” routine]
Along with the heavy pop culture cast, we also get IAGO, DELILAH, and ERATO
???
Elite octet IVIES [I’m sure that’s a word in this context, but I never hear it: guess it’s slang. It does go nicely with the Brown motto.]
:(
ARMED and GATS clued only by "Equipped with" is awkward at best: gats are nouns and armed is an adjective. (The two words together read "equipped with gats" which means armed, but the cluing is just too clumsy).
RATING: [move];D ;D ;D
[/move]Three grins = Excellent: Loved it; Two grins = Good: Enjoyed it; One grin = Satisfactory: A bit bland for my taste; One teardrop = Unsatisfying: No fun

Ivies = 8 Ivy League schools.

I am aware that "Ivies" refers to the Ivy League (note Brown reference). I just think the word is used more in Xwords than in the language.
