PUZ, March 2019

<< < (7/8) > >>

doughb:
Hello -- Thank you so much for posting these! Now that I've figured out how to convert them to .puz files, I'm getting my fix. I'm not an LA Times puzzle addict though. Really. I can quit any time I want.  ;)

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but where are these even coming from? I mean, if you have a source, might anyone be able to also access them there?

Thanks again for picking up the slack. The LA Times puzzles are the only reason I subscribe to Cruciverb too.

When the main .puz feed is broken (as has been the case more days than not recently) Glen9999 accesses the puzzle in xml, html, or pdf format from the LA Times site and then uses brute force or a script to build the .puz source which he posts.

I humbly do the same thing when he is away from his desk, which happens once in a blue moon. But his postings almost always are there shortly after midnight, so he's the man.

Thanks once again for helping us all out with these. Could you post text for the Mar 4 puzzle? The LAT archive links stopped updating after Mar 3 and (I think) your updates begin with the Mar 5 puzzle. Sorry if I just missed it somewhere.

trauer1282:
As requested by phaedrusX.  Actually I posted this at the end of the February topic (yes, I was too lazy to open a new one 8-)
