Hello,
I would like to understand why the medical library has SO many words that have absolutely nothing do to with anything medical-related. Here are a few examples:
antheridium: the male sex organ of spore-producing plants
anise: licorice-flavored seeds or oil used in cookies or cakes or pickles
attic
envy
evil
ferry: a boat that transports people or vehicles across a body of water
purr: a low vibrating sound typical of a contented cat
soda: a carbonated drink
whisper: speaking softly
wool: a fabric made from the hair of sheep
zoophilia: a sexual attraction to animals
