Emailing Crosswords

BenAlff:
Hi, I have started designing crosswords in the past few weeks on Crossword Compiler.  How do I e-mail those puzzles to editors in "Crossword Compiler Format," or do I need to turn them into pdf files first?

I would appreciate any help.
