theme idea

Please let me know if this theme is workable:

Theme Clues and Respective Answers:
Real estate headline?              Property Debuted
Sorting sunshine?                   Sifting Rays
Role model at an AA meeting?   Dry Standout
Title of this puzzle                  No ifs ands or buts

Without the if and or but in the answers you get the following:
Property Deed
Sting Rays
Dry Stout

I like the idea, but unless I'm missing something shouldn't the theme answers NOT have the "if" "and" "or" "but"?  The theme reveler indicates there wouldn't be those letters in the answers.  I would come up with good stand alone answers that have the "if" "and" etc removed.  I think it would also be cool if you removed those words in the order of the phrase--i.e. take out "if" first.

In short, I like the theme idea, but the answers need to be reworked.
