No e-mail from cruciverb-L

I subscribed yesterday to the cruciverb-L listserve by filling in the form on that page and clicking subscribe. The message there says I will receive an email requesting confirmation, but I have not received that yet after 18 hours or so. I am used to these being generated instantaneously by software, so I was wondering whether this delay is normal and just to be patient, or if it didn't go through for some reason. I checked my spam folder and it didn't show up there. How long does it normally take for the e-mail confirmation response to come through?
