Recent downtime
« on: March 20, 2010, 08:39:00 PM »
Hello everyone,

Our previous ISP took a nosedive and we have been forced to relocate. We're now with what I believe is a reputable and solid hosting company and I lwook forward to seeing 100% availability from now on.

Sincere apologies for the disruption in service.

Best,

Kevin McCann, cruciverb.com

Great to have the site back.  Missed it very much.  A malfunction in the returned site:  go to Puzzle Database, click Answers.  Type in any word, e.g. APPLE.  When the results come up, click on any puzzle number.  See?

Hoping to see the entire site up and running asap.

Yay Cruciverb!  Man, just a few days off seems like forever.

Thanks for everything, Kevin.

Hey, Kevin-

Thanks for the update and for getting the site mostly functional again. We appreciate all your work!

You may have heard from others that the "empty grid search" feature isn't working yet either. I tried several combinations, and it's clear that for some reason the archive isn't accessible.

LA puzzles?

Hey, Kevin,

Glad you're back. You sure have had your fair share of problems, lately. Let's hope things run smoothly from now on. Thanks.

I'm wondering what's going on with the LA puzzles. Will they be available any time soon?

I haven't been receiving the cruciverb-l emails for several days now.  I normally get the daily digest.  I checked the archives and there have definitely been messages sent since I last got one.  Is it possible I got accidentally deleted from the list in the recent server move?

If it's just me, I should be able to just re-subscribe, but wanted to mention it in case a bunch of people got lost.

Thanks!
Sheila

I subscribed three or four days ago, and I did get an acknowledgement but haven't received anything yet.
I wonder if one were to go in and change the digest option...

Kevin knows about the problem and is working to solve it.  That may mean having to change ISPs again.
