Not much here except a couple of blasts from the past. The Edsels sang "Rama Lama Ding Dong," a song of modest popularity, and RINGADING lasted about five minutes as a hip expression about the same time Dan Draper was crafting ads.
Neither of these retro references is likely to be appreciated by those fortunate enough to have missed the '60's. In fact, I was grown by then and I didn't appreciate them either. They're more fun in retrospect. I think the song went "I got a gal, her name is Rama Lama Ding Dong...." Erato has spared me the memory of the rest. God of hawks?
Dan Draper is a character on the current TV show Mad Men
[good drama about Mad. Ave. in the '60's]
