About 30 to 35 years ago the NYT published a puzzle with a poem spelled as if the poet had a cold. Part of the first line of verse went "I hab a dasty code id by dose...".  or something like this.  I have fond memories of this puzzle because my grandparents fought over and it brought the puzzle to my attention.  I have been doing the puzzle every Sunday since.  I estimate that the puzzle was published in the early 80's.  Does anyone remember this puzzle, or even better have a pdf of it that they can send to me?  Any help will be appreciated.  Thank you Kim L

Hello there! I'm pretty sure you're referring to "Kerchoo!" by Frances Hansen, published on January 22, 1984 in the NYT. Thank you sooo much!  You have no idea how wonderful it is to have a copy of that puzzle!  My grandparents went nuts trying to solve it.  In the end my grandmother was amused, and my grandfather vowed never to do the NYT puzzle ever again...until the following Sunday that is.  It was the puzzle that brought the NYT puzzle to my attention and I have been doing them on many a wonderful relaxing Sunday mornings since.  Thank you so much for the link.  Now if you will excuse me, I have a puzzle to solve!  Kim
