Suggested Title: Car Trips

Good Ones:
Sources of inspiration?   LUNGS
Feature of American paneling, but not British?   ONEL [spelling panelling]
Present opening?   OMNI
Theme: Joining car model names to make a trip/destination phrase
Joint Ford/Chrysler vacation package?   ESCAPETONEWPORT

By the Way:
Cleveland cagers   CAVS [Why are basketballers called cagers?  The original goal was a peach basket.  Then the basket’s bottom was cut out so the ball would fall through.  Where’s the cage come from?]

Did you notice four references to Supreme Court names?  Along with ADLAI and PYLE, both ADELE and LUPE are all the more incongruent --- but a good test of our breadth of knowledge.

Who knew?:
The lowest card in klaberjass is seven, or that there is klaberjass
There is a rapper named LUPE FIASCO [probably sold more records than Sinatra]

Some Nits to Pick:
Chap   LAD [while in speech they can be used interchangebly, a lad is a youth but a chap is an adult --- in US speech, boys and men are also used interchangeably, but it would be a bit unsporting if the clue were men and the fill boys]

RATING:   ;D ;D Three grins = Loved it; Two grins = Enjoyed it; One grin = A bit bland for my taste; One teardrop = Not much fun
