Wild about INTO [My sense of “into” means “interested in” or even “devoted to” but lacks the concept of “
wild.” To be
wildly interested would require “really, really into.” However, “
wild about” doesn’t necessarily mean agog; sometimes it means “into,” and that’s the problem with slang and colloquialisms: they are at best imprecise. Our American propensity for hyperbole continues to metastasize, and it’s driving me
wild.]
