Christmas Potluck

 :)
Fire starter?   BON
Change one’s story?   EDIT
Basil or rosemary   HERB [note lower case r --- still, they are both first names]
Theme: Apt gifts of food from Christmas figures
The Little Drummer Boy brought___   BREADSTICKS [before I got the theme I thought there was some mistake because he had nothing to give except his music]
Cupid the reindeer brought___   ARTICHOKEHEARTS
The Salvation Army volunteer brought___   BELLPEPPERS

 8)
What are “smiling at me” in an Irving Berlin classic   BLUESKIES [Today is a propos to cite Berlin who wrote the most popular Christmas song of all, “White Christmas.”  For some reason it pleases me that he was Jewish.]  BTW, if you’ve never heard “Blue Skies” or haven’t heard it recently, you might download Tommy Dorsey’s version from the 1940’s [Sinatra vocal] or more recently Bobby Darin’s [101-Down] version --- he didn’t only do “Mack the Knife” wonderfully.

RATING:  ;D ;D Three grins = Loved it; Two grins = Enjoyed it; One grin = A bit bland for my taste; One teardrop = No fun
