Cruciverbalist wasn't built for OSX. It only worked in 8 and 9.

Another emulator one might try is

which also has the distinction of being open source and free (still need to get a copy of Windows, though).

Some issues, but it seems to work.

mbarnhart:
I've been using CC8 with CrossOver and its functional enough but I have to deal with a ton of bugs.
