Appropriateness of disease names in puzzles

? too negative?

I see where some are there , say ALS, clued "Lou Gehrig's Disease".  POLIO gets a pass, too.

In this case, I'm considering EPILEPSY, but concerned about whether that's a deal-breaker with editors.

I guess it's in the cluing - is there any upbeat way to do that?  Wiki tells me there are "Seizure response dogs", which is kind of nice, but now I've got a negative word in the clue as well.
