One taking things wrong   THIEF
You can find one in the {theme} even if you don't believe   UFO

:-[
Swahilli for “freedom”    UHURU [sounds like a Star Trek character I should know, and perhaps it is known by Trekkies that the name is (like) Swahilli.  Alas, I am ignorant of both Trekkies and Swahilli, but if I'm wrong, this is a poor clue in an English language puzzle.]

 :(
Digito   NUMERO ["Numero uno," unlike digito, is an English adoption and would work]

RATING:   ;D Three grins = Excellent: Loved it; Two grins = Good: Enjoyed it; One grin = Satisfactory: A bit bland for my taste; One teardrop = Unsatisfying: No fun

Uhuru is also the name of a book by Robert Ruark. One of the best looks at Africa in the 1960 and the Mau Mau insurgency against the colonial rule in Kenya.
