CC8 - Typing problem

crosscan:
Hi all.

Using Crossword Compiler 8, when I try to type  an apostrophe ' in a clue I get an e with an accent. Also, the quote mark key " gives me a Capital E with an accent. This is a new phenomena.
Any suggestions on how to stop this?
