Theme: Daffy Duck’s lisps leading to unintended meanings

Good Ones:
I like all the theme answers; theses are my favorites:
Ghost from outer space?   ALIENWRAITH [alien race]
Texas Hold’em player’s confidence?   POKERFAITH [poker face]
     Parisian pals?   FRENCHKITH [French kiss]
Class without struggle   EASYA
They’re often full of hot air   FLUES
Does sum work   ADDS

By the Way:
Ed Asner septet   EMMYS [I thought the 7 letters in his name]

Odd that both GRE and MCAT appear in the same puzzle.

Who knew?:
Bart Simpson’s “grampa” is ABE [I know, but for some reason I hate references to that show, of which I never saw a minute.  What’s wrong with “Lincoln” or “Fortas”?]

OOLA is a dancer in some Jedi movie.  I also hate references to Star Wars and Star Trek. But I realize the puzzles are “better” for them since they stretch our knowledge base.

RATING:   ;D ;D  ;D Three grins = Loved it; Two grins = Enjoyed it; One grin = A bit bland for my taste; One teardrop = Not much fun
