Theme: the letters IM inserted in common phrases making other less common phrases ["I'M GOING FIRST" is a good title]

Good Ones:
#1 on a motivational speaker’s…   IMPRESSCONFERENCE
Device for the Six Million Dollar Man?   POWERIMPLANT
Early problem for the Wright bros.?   UPWARDIMMOBILITY
Casper in the courtroom?    IMMATERIALWITNESS
Ewe’s guys   RAMS [“You’s guys,” as they said in the NYC projects]
They’re on the phone   APPS [but not on mine --- too old]
Union contracts?   PRENUPS
Artist’s support   PATRON [not the usual “easel”]
Rite place   ALTAR

By the Way:
Dancer turned spy   HARI [that’s Mata Hari --- but in the 50’s there was a dance duo billed as Mata and Harry, why I can’t say]

Former Wrigley Field star   SOSA [but without the steroids he’d have been so-so]

Who knew?:
“Wiked Game” was sung by Chris Izaak, or that there was a Chris Izaak or song.

FILO is dough for spanakopita, or that there is spanokopita.

“Babi YAR” is a Yevtushenko poem, or any other poems he may have written.

Some Nits to Pick:
Star seekers   MAGI [they followed the star but were seeking the Savior --- and I oughtta know.]

ATOI [I’d go with the alphabet run from A to I]

RATING:   ;D ;D ;D Three grins = Loved it; Two grins = Enjoyed it; One grin = A bit bland for my taste; One teardrop = Not much fun

I think the conference was in Tehran, not Teheran.

Actually it was often spelled that way, and I used TEHERAN in one of my puzzles about 20 years ago.
