File Does Not Exist!!!!!!!!!!

(1/5) > >>

mothra42:
Since 4/15/18 I have not been able to get the LAT puzzle. All I get is file does not exist. I am at a loss for fixing this. Please help! Mothra42

BJMcBean:
It's not the first time it's happened with the LA Times. Sometimes it takes a few days to get it fixed, but it isn't you.

mothra42:
Thanks for your reply. I remember a couple of years ago it would happen, but it was usually back in two days or so. I updated Across Lite, etc., so there was nothing else I could think to do. I love that I can do tomorrow's puzzle the night before, but also the size of the puzzle on cruciverb.com. It is clear and easy to use. The Mensa grid is smaller and slow to take keystrokes. Also I am set in my ways and want to do my crosswords as I am accustomed. I will take your advice and wait until it returns, but it's interesting how uneasy I became w/o my usual evening crossword. mothra42  :) :) :)

AllanK:
I’m with you, mothra42.  The day doesn’t start well if I can’t get my morning fix...  :D

I hope it comes back, and soon!

trauer1282:
Yes, we've seen this before, and hopefully the feed will come back soon.  For now, here's today's puzzle if you don't mind a kludgy way to open it in Across Lite:

1. Copy the following text (no extra spaces!) and paste it into a plain text file on your computer.
2. Open Across Lite
3. Click File / Open / (your text file)
4. Click Save As to save the puzzle in .puz format or just solve/print as usual

I'll post the missing Monday and Tuesday puzzles if anyone still wants them.  8)
