LA Times Again
trauer1282:
That's where I downloaded it... am posting here for other folks who want the .puz format so they can use Across Lite to solve it.
BTW, another link was posted earlier by Filer where you can get to puzzle without the annoying advertisement: http://www.us.mensa.org/play/games/games/la-times-crossword/
DrBB:
Um, that seems to be the raw .puz code itself. Dummy here: I tried cut/pasting it into a text doc and saving it as a .puz but the app doesn't recognize it. What am I missing?
Jonesing for my LAT xword fix!
trauer1282:
Hi DrBB. After you cut&paste to a text file, don't rename it. Instead, open Across Lite and use the program to open the file. You can solve/print/save from there, and the save function will create a .puz file.

EDIT: Opened it by selecting "Text Format (*.TXT)" under "Files of type:"
Thanks

Ah, that's the trick. Worked fine--thanks!
