THEME:   word that can have POINT after it to make a phrase
   
GOOD ONES:     
Not getting it {& theme}   MISSING THE POINT   
Attorney's thing   RES [might be better without 's to mirror the idiom]   
   
   
RATING:    ;D
Three grins = Loved it; Two grins = Enjoyed it; One grin = A bit bland for my taste; One teardrop = Not much fun

The answers FREEZING, TRANSITION and SATURATION pretty much made sense without adding the word POINT. The answer PRESSURE, however, needed the word added. I know it's difficult for puzzle makers to compose a crossword that has several words  containing a J, K, Q, X and/or Z, but including the 1970 movie Zabriskie Point would have been a nice surprise.
