THEME:   first word of a phrase can precede KEEPER

GOOD ONES:
Angler's "I don't have to throw this one back" {& theme}   ITS A KEEPER

BTW:
Group in pews   LAITY [clue is too general; may as well be "men" or "girls" or "Americans" --- the only group it can't be is clerics of one type or other]

Wagger on the dog   TAIL [my pick for lamest clue of the year]

RATING: ;D
Three grins = Loved it; Two grins = Enjoyed it; One grin = A bit bland for my taste; One teardrop = Not much fun
